Lilly - A Poem
Oh, little Lilly, where have you been?
Fall waved goodbye,
Yet nowhere to be seen.
In the mountain valley,
And by the little girl's house
Looked for you everywhere,
What are your whereabouts?
Life is time-bound,
Called out to you all around,
Nowhere to be found,
6 feet under the ground.
Every valley, every hill,
Every alley and even the hornbill,
Your name is quite dear to them now,
But still you are nowhere to be found.
Oh, little Lilly, where are you now?
Is this a game or a curse somehow?
Made the bloom wonder,
Are you up above or under?
Are you afraid of the thunder?
Or just in a deep slumber?
Clouds are your new jacket,
Under nature's cozy blanket.
I sit under the willow tree,
Will I ever be free?
What will it be,
When my Lilly comes to me?
